I came across a pretty large Swan picture frame for $3 at our local thrift store and found it perfect for my next project - Chalk Board!. There are lot of tutorials out there in internet on how to convert a picture frame to a chalk board.
For the frame I used Americana chalk paint in orange which I had for some other projects and for glass I bought the black 2 oz chalkboard paint.

What you need to do is :
- Remove the picture, separate the glass and frame.
- Apply 1 coat of primer on the wooden frame.
- After drying, apply 1-2 coats of paint and allow to dry completely.
- Clean the glass and apply 2-3 coats of chalkboard paint. Give enough time for drying in between the coats.
- Below is how it looked like after applying 1 coat of primer and chalkboard paint.

- Now erase with a paper towel/cloth and the chalkboard is ready. You can use it to note down the shopping list, menus or simply quotes for the day!
